Nick and I climbed the East Arete to reach the 13,768′ summit of Mt Winchell. We hiked in via Sam Mac meadows, where we spent the night in one of the more picturesque places I’ve stayed in the high sierra. The climb its self went pretty smooth, and we only broke out the rope a couple times on our descent to make things a bit more secure. We also had great views of the entire palisade crest, a place I hope to visit again soon.

Nick has a great album outlining the trip, which can be found here.
